The Eutectic women's soccer team played 110 scoreless minutes against Hannibal-LaGrange University (1-5-1, 0-3-1 AMC) in an American Midwest Conference matchup Tuesday night at Saint Louis University High School. Looking beyond the scoreline, this was an impressive match for the Euts, as they controlled possession and dictated the flow of play.

Shot supremacy was not enough for the Euts as none of their 23 shots found the back of the net. The offensive barrage led by Riley Harris (SO/Collinsville, Ill.)'s six shots were met by firm goalkeeping by the Trojans' Madi Allen and last line defense.

Ashton Lindsley (FR/Troy, Mo.) kept one of the easiest clean sheets of her career. Her three saves on three shots-on-target further demonstrate STLCOP's dominance in the match.

Hannibal did come out firing in the second half of overtime. A goal line clearance with 2:27 remaining maintained the shutout for the Euts.

The scoreless tie was a seven-goal improvement from last year, when the Euts trailed 7-1 at the buzzer in Hannibal. A focus on defense and a strong defensive line have bolstered the Eutectics this season to an impressive 35 goal turnaround from last year in the past four matches.

The women's soccer team, now 0-4-2 (0-3-2 AMC), will continue with conference play when they take on Lindenwood University-Belleville on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 2:30 p.m. in Belleville, Ill.
